Webbing can be used both as one apparel accessory product and as one of the textiles. There are two main methods of coloring webbing, one is the most widely used dyeing (conventional dyeing), which mainly involves placing the webbing in a chemical dye solution. Another method is to use paint, which is made into tiny insoluble colored particles to adhere to the fabric (fiber raw stock dye is not included).

Dye is a kind of complex organic substance, it has many kinds.
Acid Dyes
Acid dyes get their name from the fact that they were dyed in acidic solutions when they were first discovered. They are generally used to dye wool and silk to maintain a certain degree of fastness of the dyed material and to obtain vivid colors.
Cation dyes
Cationic dyes have been developed on the basis of basic dyes and are soluble in water, acetic acid, and alcohol. Since the cationic groups can be separated and dissolved in the dye bath, it can be combined with fiber fabrics with acidic groups for dyeing. It is mainly used for dyeing acrylic fabrics, which have bright colors.
Direct Dyes
Direct dyes can be dissolved in water without relying on other additives and are directly dyed on fibers by boiling, hence the name direct dyes. It is simple to use, inexpensive, has a complete color spectrum, and is brightly colored, but is not as firmly dyed as other dyes. At present, it is mostly used for dyeing cotton fabrics, rayon, and other cellulosic fabrics.
Disperse dyes
These dyes are insoluble in water but can be used as dispersants to disperse the dyes into very fine particles for dyeing, so they are called disperse dyes. It is suitable for dyeing synthetic fibers such as polyester fabrics and nylon fabrics.
Aze dyes
Azo fuel (naftol dye) is suitable for cellulose fabrics. Its vivid color makes it perfect for webbings that need to dye brilliant colors.
Reactive Dyes
Named for the reactive groups in the molecular structure of the dye that can react with fibers, it is also known as a reactive dye. It has good firmness and bright color. However, since the reactive groups in the dyes can also interact with water, a part of the dye will be damaged during the dyeing process, thus reducing the utilization of the dye. It is mainly used for dyeing cotton, hemp, silk, and other fiber fabrics, and can also be used for dyeing wool and combined fiber fabrics, and it is mostly used for dyeing light and medium colors.
Sulphur Dyes
Sulfur dyes are insoluble in water, and sodium sulfide is needed to dissolve the dyes in water when dyeing, and then dying. It is suitable for dyeing cotton fabrics, not for dyeing silk and woolen fabrics. This dye is cheap, easy to use, and has good dyeing fastness. It is generally used for dyeing dark and black colors.
Vat Dyes
VAT dyes are insoluble in water and need to be dissolved in a caustic soda and reducing agent dye bath to stain the fabric, so they are called VAT dyes. It is mainly used for dyeing cotton and viscose cellulose fabrics, with bright color, washing, and sunlight resistance, but the disadvantage is that it is expensive and the process is tedious.
Paint
The paint suitable for all fibers is actually not a dye, but a fiber attached mechanically by resin. Most fuels of this type have good light resistance and good washability, especially for medium and light colors.
The above dyes can be used for dyeing webbing. As a type of textile, the dyes that can be used on webbing can also be used on basic other textiles such as fabric labels.
