When there are many polyester products as raw materials for clothing, people still choose wool-based warm materials. Because this polyester material has many defects, such as polyester contact with the skin will make people feel itchy. When polyester comes into contact with water, it will stink again and attract many moths.
However, in the late 1970s, Malden Mills, a textile manufacturer from Massachusetts, studied the potential of polyester. Under the instructions of the director of the textile workshop, Aaron Feuerstein, the craftsmen woven high-quality polyester products into dense fabrics, which look a bit like terry cloth. After this texture is washed, the volume is greatly increased, and it can also provide insulation and waterproof effects.
In 1981, after cooperating with Patagonia, an unknown manufacturer of mountaineering clothing, Feuerstein pushed his invention into the field of sportswear.
In 1985, the earliest polyester product called Synchilla was used in Patagonia brand sportswear.
In just 10 years, polyester products have become an indispensable part of daily life. Whether it is pleochroism, lint-free, or cheapness, it has become one of the most important materials. Later, Lands’ End, L.L.Bean and other companies widely used polyester materials in our daily necessities.
The current polyester material has been improved and has been greatly improved. The material is not lightweight and very warm.
